Leadership in Action
Feedback from a recent training..."I definitely learned a lot from taking Basic Skills and I’m glad that I took this opportunity because I was unsure about doing it. When I found out during the webinar that I couldn’t be a LEADS presenter as an undergraduate, I was discouraged from taking the rest of the course right away, but I am glad that I did. The skills I learned are definitely life skills and they are going to be helpful to me in my future as a leader in APO."
If feed back is the breakfast of champions.... how may brothers can we turn in to champions with our positive feedback?
Calendars
Did you know that the Leadership Development Committee keeps track of national opportunities on a Google calendar. If your chapter, section, region, heck alumni association uses a Google, you can add the LD calendar as an over lay, and when ever there are new events, changes or updated it will show up if you use Google.
For those of you who uses a different system or just want the dates here they are:

APO Impact
APO LEADS Content training
As students graduate and are looking for a way to give back- why not ask them about becoming a presenter? We are always looking for people who would like to expand their skill sets! The dates for the online courses have been set and when we get people in an area we can plan some on site practical trainings. The only way the presenter base can grow is if you who know of people let us know about them or make sure they get in touch with us! There are many areas of the country that are lacking in presenters- and it may not be because that they aren't there- it could be because no one tells the right person! so please don't let these graduating seniors who want to give back slip away!
Have you ever wondered what you need to do for a smooth officer transition? Or have you ever wondered what documents and planning steps are needed for hosting a conference on your campus? Have you ever wondered how to keep your alumni involved past graduation? Have you ever wondered what other chapters are up to on other campuses? If you have, you're in luck. On apo.org, there is a vast set of resources covering topics from alumni relations to conference planning to officer transitions to pledge programs and more. These documents have come from the fraternities leaders at conferences as well as other students just like you who have submitted their work as exemplary models. There are templates for many items where your chapter and university's names can be placed to make life easy on your
advisors. Many of the presentations come with the lecture notes associated with them to help you present. Just as APO IMPACT guides give you an overview to the topics relevant to the fraternity, the Leadership Clearinghouse gives you specifics to many of the same topics. Just like we all use Yelp and Angie's List because crowd sourcing helps us determine what the best of the best is, think of the Leadership Clearinghouse as the best of the best of the information that other APO students have put together for your use.
